How many cabins does your site have? Two. Ours is a small site on a working croft.
When is your site open? We are open all year round.
Is there disabled access? There is a wide wheelchair accessible path from the car park to the cabins but please note that you can not get a wheelchair into the en-suite shower and toilet.
Do you allow dogs/pets? Strictly NO dogs or pets allowed, even if you keep them in your car. We will try to make an exception for guide dogs or assistance dogs but please contact us before you book.
Is the site suitable for children? We are yards from a sandy beach. Buckets and spades can be borrowed. There is a play park at Crossapol (8 miles) and you can book a variety of activities for children, such as horse riding, surfing and windsurfing elsewhere on the island. There is also a small selection of board games in each cabin.
Do you accept groups, parties or celebrations? Yes. But you will need to be a small group as we only have two cabins. Each cabin sleeps up to four people in two double beds.
Do you allow campfires? BBQ buckets are available on request (charcoal may be purchased locally). Please DO NOT use them on the decking or tables. There is a campfire area located towards the beach. No other campfires are allowed on site however you may make a campfire on the beach. Please be mindful of which way your smoke is blowing and please clean up after yourselves.
Is electricity included in the price? Yes.
What cooking facilities are provided? There is a microwave, a twin hob and a BBQ bucket for use outside. Pots, pans, knives, utensils, crockery, cutlery, tumblers and wine glasses for four people are included in the price.
What do I need to bring? Personal items, clothing, toiletries etc. (Bedlinen, towels, crockery etc are all provided.)
Is there a cash machine on the island? No. There is a Royal Bank of Scotland Branch with limited opening hours in Scarinish. There is also a Post Office in Scarinish and you can get cashback at the Co-op and some other places.
Is there parking next to the cabins? If not how close is the parking area? There is a parking area (one vehicle per cabin) immediately to the rear of the cabins with a wide, wheelchair accessible path leading to the decking area at the front. Cars are parked at owners’ risk. Additional cars may be parked in the field, also at owners’ risk.
What time can I check in from? Check in is from 3pm. If we are able to let you in earlier, we will let you know by text or email.
What is the latest time I can check in? Check in time is normally from 3-4pm.
If you are arriving on a late plane or ferry, or wish to check in later than 4pm for any other reason, please contact us in advance.
What time do I need to vacate the cabin? Latest check out is 10am so that we have time to clean before our next guests.
Do you have a shop/reception on site and when is it open? There is no shop or reception area on site. However, we live on site so can easily be contacted if necessary. The nearest shop is the Co-op at Scarinish (4 miles).
How many toilets/showers do you have on site? There is an ensuite shower and toilet in each cabin.
How close is the nearest pub or restaurant? The closest pub/restaurant is the Lodge Hotel at Kirkapol (2miles). You can walk there across the beach.
How far to the nearest supermarket? The Co-op in Scarinish is approximately 4 miles away.
How far is it from public transport? The ferry terminal is 4 miles away at Scarinish. The airport is 8 miles away at Crossapol. f you are travelling on foot, there is unfortunately no longer a Ring and Ride Bus Service on Tiree however John Kennedy Transport offers a pre-booked private hire service. This service can be contacted on 07789551959. Please contact us if you need help with transport and we will try to help.
Is there WiFi access on site? Yes. There is free WiFi on site.
Is there a television in each cabin? No. There is free WiFi but no television.
